2013 Subaru BRZ Sti Concept

2013 Subaru BRZ with rear-wheel drives sport capable of displaying the Horizontally-opposed boxer engine. The form in developed through a cooperative project between Subaru and Toyota Motor Corporation. This cooperation aims to bring the sports car world with superior steering response and driving pleasure in the experience for the driver. The Subaru have a boxer engine that place with a lower position than the other BRZ so it only has one the lowest center of gravity. This low center of gravity produces a pleasant character handling and also combined with a lightweight chassis BRZ to make the “Pure Handling Delight” in the experience a whole new level.

Subaru still uses the concept of “Handling Pure Delight”. Engine of this car has the qualities inherent in the center of gravity lower, lighter and more compact. Facility is maximized by placing the machine is lower and closer to the center of the chassis. 2013 Subaru BRZ is a fun sports car that can make the driver comfortable with a calm mind.

The Subaru BRZ has a low-mounted boxer engine specially designed to form an ultra-low center of gravity package. With this composition, BRZ reach the driving position corresponding with the typical sports car. The heights held the Subaru BRZ reach 1.300 mm with a width of the body, and then have a coupe-style low-1775mm. The steering wheel was made smaller to achieve sports car maneuverability. A tachometer with digitally displayed speedometer is placed in the center of the gauges so that the driver can instantly see information without diverting attention from the road.

Due to the joint development with Toyota Motor Corporation, Toyota’s direct injection and port injection technology “D-4S” was incorporated in the 2013 Subaru BRZ power unit. To achieve the “ultra-low center of gravity package”, the engine as a whole has been made more compact by such means as adopting the shorter intake manifold and the shallower oil pan.
